Frequently Asked Questions
Want to get started but have questions first? We may already have the answer.
Yes! I accept insurance when you book an appointment with me through my Fay Nutrition profile! Here you can see if insurance will cover your appointment, and you can book an appointment with me.
To check insurance coverage, click on the “Get your price” tool, which can be found here or it can be found under my Fay profile under the “Book Now” button.
The information used for this tool comes directly from the insurance company, so Fay’s pricing estimate is usually more accurate than calling an insurance representative who may not be trained on nutrition therapy benefits (very few are!). That being said, clients can also call insurance if they have additional questions.
Fay Nutrition is a platform that connects people with registered dietitians (RDs) for personalized nutrition counseling. I use the platform to manage all aspects of the private practice such as appointment scheduling to client management to insurance credentialing and so much more! Fay Nutrition is HIPAA compliant.
No, I do not! I accept referrals from physicians, but it is not required to make an appointment.
There are many creative ways physicians can send clients my way. The key is that the appointments are booked through my booking link! Physicians can discuss the need to meet with a dietitian, and they can simply refer the patient here for all of their dietitian needs.
Appointments can be canceled or rescheduled in one of the following ways:
1. If Booked Through Fay Nutrition:
You can contact me directly to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Additionally, cancellations or rescheduling can be done via the Fay app at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment start time.Late Cancellation/No-Show Fees:
If you cancel or reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice, or if you do not show up for your appointment, a $60.00 late cancellation/no-show fee will apply. For cancellations within 24 hours, please contact me directly.2. If Booked Through SV Performance and Nutrition:
You can contact me directly to reschedule your appointment hassle-free.Please note, all sales are final if booked through the SV Performance and Nutrition website. You will have a 15-minute window to log in to your scheduled appointment. After 15 minutes, the session will be marked as a late cancellation/no-show. While there is no additional fee for no-shows, all sales are final, and if you do not attend, you will forfeit your appointment.
If you notify me about any scheduling conflicts in advance, I will certainly do my best to accommodate you. However, without prior notification, no accommodations or leniency will be given.
At this time, I do not accept Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance. However, I am actively working on it and plan to offer this option in the near future!
You can select your desired service directly from the SV Performance & Nutrition website and pay out of pocket. We accept the following payment methods – Visa, Mastercard, Discover, etc.

Primarily, I meet with clients virtually through either the Fay Nutrition or Everfit platform, but I also meet with clients in person per client's request depending on location.
I am located in Northeast Mississippi!
It depends on the package that you select, but for best results, 10-15 weeks of weekly follow-up appointments is recommended. Especially for weight loss patients! Nonetheless, I’ll be glad to work with you as long as you wish.
A dietitian has received rigorous education including a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from an accredited university, 1200 hours of supervised practice, and has passed a national board examination in order to get credentialed and qualify for licensure.
Additionally, continuing education hours are required in order to remain credentialed. In some states (including Mississippi), dietitians are the only nutrition professionals who can legally give personalized nutrition advice. While many nutritionists do have some education, there are no standardized requirements to call yourself a nutritionist or health coach, and in most states there is no licensure pathway. Working with a registered dietitian is the only way to know for sure that the person you are working with has received extensive education in nutrition, biology, anatomy & physiology, food safety & science, drug & nutrient interactions, disease states, and more.
